   and keep a log of things you hear.

• Explore the possibilities of making sound effects from  everyday (household) objects.

What is a radio play?

• It is a dramatized, accoustic performance. 
  

There are no visuals. In Dutch: hoorspel.

What do you think the difference is between radio plays and stage plays when it comes to acting?

Radio plays...

• Actors portray their characters by using their voice instead of facial expressions/physical language.
• Foley artists: man/woman who adds sound effects to radio plays (and movies!) by using all kinds of props.

• Performed and broadcasted live. 
• Caused nationwide panic because listeners believed earth was being attacked by aliens.

• Groups of 4/5 (test groups!)
  
•  Create a 'sound bath' for a natural disaster, meaning you are going to find as many props/sounds as possible to make sounds with, fitting your disaster
  
• You can use: prop's, body sounds (clapping hands) and voice (not words!). You can't use music and/or already excisting sound effects today!
  
  
• 10 minutes to prepare - perform!
