Different futures

If you want to express something that is going to happen in the future, (iets gaat gebeuren in de toekomst) you can use different ways to express future tense.

- present simple

- to be going to 

- will ( deze staat wel in je boek MAAR hoef je niet  te kennen!!!)

present simple

iets verloopt volgens een schema of rooster: werkwoord of werkwoord + s (shit-regel)

I, you, we, they: werkwoord

he, she, it: werkwoord + s

present simple

iets verloopt volgens een schema of rooster: ww of ww+s

Example: The shop opens at 08:00 am.

Example 2: The trains arrives at 10:00 am.

                                      Present simple.

We have to go soon. The bus __________________ (leave) at 14.15.

leaves 

want het gaat hier om een vaste vertrektijd (in dit geval van een bus).

Are you looking for my dad? He’s not here. He always _________(walk) the dog around this time.

to be going to

Als iets zeker gaat gebeuren, dan gebruik je: 'to be going to'.

Als iets zeker gaat gebeuren, dan gebruik je: 'to be going to'.

Example: I am going to visit my grandmother this Friday.

Example 2: We are going to work on Saturday.
