Passive
The passive form is used when something is done. 
It is not important, or, unknown who is doing something, but it is important that it is done/being done.

An active sentence: the subject performs the action 
A passive sentence: the subject doesn´t perform the action but experiences it

Passive
You make the passive by using a form of to be + past participle. In Dutch you use become or be + past participle.

If you want to make it clear who is doing something, use a sentence that starts with ´by´

Example: English is spoken by millions of people
Translation: Engles wordt gesproken door miljoenen mensen

Comparative: -er + ´than´ behind the adjective (bijv. nw)

Short adjectives with the comparative: use -er
Ex. He is shorter than his brother

Long adjectives with the comparative: use ´more´
Ex. She is more beautiful than her friend
