Je gebruikt de Past Simple als je het hebt over  iets dat in het verleden gebeurd is en nu afgelopen is.

Let op met spelling:

try - tried

live - lived

When do you use the Past Simple?

1. To say something started in the past and is still happening now
2. To say something took place (started and finished) at a time in the past
3. To say something that started in the past has just finished this at this moment
4. To say something took a long time

If the sentence contains to be.......

Positive sentences

I / he / she / it = was  ---> I was at a party yesterday.

you / we / they = were ---> They were at the party too.

Negations

I / he / she / it = wasn't ---> she wasn't at the party.

you / we / they = weren't --> you weren't at the party either.

Questions

Was I / he / she / it? ---> Was he at the party?

Were you / we / they? ---> Were they at the party?
