Reading strategies

1. SKIMMEN: kijk naar de titel, inleiding, naam van de schrijver, kopjes, etc. Wat weet je al van het onderwerp?
2. SCANNEN: gericht zoeken naar het antwoord op de vraag: Lees de vraag. Begrijp je dit? Lees dan de alinea waar het antwoord staat goed door.
3. INTENSIEF LEZEN: woord voor woord, regel voor regel lezen om het antwoord op een vraag te vinden.

Wat is skimmen?

1. De vraag lezen en het antwoord kiezen
2. raden wat het moeilijke woord zou kunnen betekenen
3. eerst naar de tekst kijken zonder deze te lezen zodat je ongeveer weet waar de tekst over gaat
4. gericht zoeken naar de antwoorden op de vragen

Wanneer ga je scannen?

1. als je wilt weten wat een woord betekent.
2. als je hele specifieke informatie zoekt.
3. als je wilt weten wat er in de eerste en laatste alinea van een tekst staat.
