Bij he / she /it komt er een  's' achter het werkwoord. > he falls
! soms komt er 'es' achter: goes/ does/ watches

Ja/ nee -vragen maken
-In de meeste gevallen gebruik je do of does (he/she/it) aan het begin van de vraag.
You like cats. =>                Do you like cats?
He lives in Den Burg. => Does he live in Den Burg?        Does he lives in Den Burg?

-Soms moet je het onderwerp en werkwoord omwisselen. ( be/can)
Amsterdam is the capital of the Netherlands. => Is Amsterdam the capital of the Netherlands?
I am at school. => Am I at school?
He can play the piano. => Can he play the piano?

Ontkenningen maken
Om te zeggen dat iets niet zo is, gebruik je don't of doesn't (he/she/it) voor het werkwoord.
You like cats.  => You don't like cats.
He lives in Den Burg.  => He doesn't live in Den Burg.

Bij de werkwoorden be & can zet je 'not' achter het werkwoord.
I am at school. = > I am not at school.
She is at school. => She isn't at school.
He can play the piano. => He can't play the piano.

don't = do not / doesn't= does not / isn't = is not / can't = cannot
