                        Try to solve the crossword puzzle together

How               pupils on the left use speech card 3 (p. 197)

                         pupils on the right use speech card 13 (p. 199)

                         1. read the crossword puzzle on your speech card

                         2. Think of a way to describe the words on your card in English (without using the word!)

                         3. Work together to complete the puzzle. Take turns to describe the

                             missing words in each other's puzzle.

                         4. If you've filled in all the words, compare to see if your puzzles match.
