Past simple/ present perfect

De verleden tijd (past simple) en de voltooid tegenwoordige tijd (present perfect) worden zowel in het Engels als Nederlands gebruikt. Maar er zijn verschillen.

 

Ik heb haar gisteren gezien. (voltooid tegenwoordige tijd)

I saw her yesterday. (past simple) Nooit: I have seen her yesterday. (present perfect)

Past simple: stam + ed of tweede rijtje irregular verbs.

 

Present perfect: have/has + stam + ed of derde rijtje irregular verbs. 

I _____ (to know) Karim and Ahmed since I _____ (to be) a child.

Between 2014 and 2016 the company _____(to upgrade) all its computers and software.

We _____ (to live) in London for some time. We really like it here.

Oh no! I _____ (to lose) my new smartphone!
