  • Trappen van vergelijking
  • Comparative = vergrotende trap
  • Superlative = overtreffende trap 

  • What is the base rule?
  • Short - shorter - shortest
  • Comparative: +-er
  • Superlative: +-est

  • Big - bigger - biggest
  • Double the last consonant for the sound

  • Watch out! One syllable!
  • Syllable = lettergreep

  • Two or more syllables:

  • Beautiful - more beautiful - most beautiful 
  • Perfect - more perfect - most perfect

  • --> Add more or most
  • Tiny - tinier - tiniest 
  • Does your adjective end on -y?
  • --> change y into i and add
    -er or -est
  • Adjective = bijvoeglijk naamwoord

  • Other examples include pretty, fluffy, scary etc
