What is the base rule?
Short - shorter - shortest
Comparative: +-er
Superlative: +-est
Big - bigger - biggest
Double the last consonant for the sound
Watch out! One syllable!
Syllable = lettergreep

Degrees of comparison
Two or more syllables:
Beautiful - more beautiful - most beautiful
Perfect - more perfect - most perfect
--> Add more or most
Tiny - tinier - tiniest
Does your adjective end on -y?
--> change y into i and add
-er or -est
Adjective = bijvoeglijk naamwoord
Other examples include pretty, fluffy, scary etc
