Adverb of frequency and Degree
1. Adverbs of Frequency (Bijwoorden van frequentie): Deze adverbs geven aan hoe vaak iets gebeurt. Typische adverbs of frequency zijn: always, usually, often, sometimes, rarely, never.
Ze komen meestal vóór het hoofdwerkwoord in een zin, maar na het hulpwerkwoord bij de vormen van "to be".
Voorbeeld:
I always brush my teeth before bed.
She is usually on time for class.
He sometimes forgets his homework.
2. Adverbs of Degree (Bijwoorden van mate): Deze adverbs geven aan in welke mate iets gebeurt. Typische adverbs of degree zijn: very, quite, extremely, rather, pretty.
Ze komen vóór het bijvoeglijk naamwoord of het adverb.
Voorbeeld: 
He is very tall.
She is quite intelligent.
It's extremely hot today.

3. Adverbs of Manner (Bijwoorden van wijze): Deze adverbs geven aan hoe iets gebeurt. Typische adverbs of manner zijn: quickly, slowly, carefully, happily, angrily.

Voorbeeld:
She dances gracefully.
He drives carefully.
They laughed happily.

4. Adverbs of Place (Bijwoorden van plaats): Deze adverbs geven aan waar of waarheen iets gebeurt. Typische adverbs of place zijn: here, there, everywhere, nowhere. Ze komen meestal vóór het hoofdwerkwoord in een zin, maar na adverbs of frequency en time.

She looked everywhere for her glasses.
