What will be asked of you next year?

First phase education

• Speaking: What is my opinion on everyday subjects, hobbies, short conversation, common situations
• Writing: informal writing (postcard, letter to a friend)
• Listening: mostly about subjects you know, clear language, own speaking tempo
• etc.

Second phase education

- Assumption: there are no more minor mistakes ('ik' in English as i, gonna/wanna, etc.)

- From informal to formal (signaalwoorden, discussing a subject and being open-minded)

- Writing essays (weighing and discussing arguments on a subject without giving your opinion or being biased)

- Exploring literature (insight in characters, themes)

- VWO: preparing for English scientific writing as well
