Present Perfect + Past Simple
Present perfect: 
The present perfect is formed from the present tense of the verb have + the past participle of a verb

Past simple:
With most verbs, the past tense is formed by adding –ed / irregular verb list

Examples 
For – For almost three years, I have worked as a freelance English teacher [and I still work as a teacher].

Yet – I haven’t had a single boring day yet!
Never – Never have I doubted about my decision to be an independent teacher.
Ever – Have you ever thought of changing your job?
Just – We have just decided to take action.
Already – They have already collaborated with so many freelancers, incredible!
Since – Since thirteen years, I have been in education.
