The Future Perfect & future Continuous

What is the difference in meaning between the following sentences:
1. Next week we will have learned the future perfect.
2. Next week we will be learning the future continuous.

Future Continuous

Je praat over iets wat enige tijd gaat duren in de toekomst. Je zegt dan dat je in de toekomst iets aan het doen bent/je bent er dan mee bezig.

Next Friday I will be finishing the report.

Examples:

- This time tomorrow we’ll be sitting on the beach. I can’t wait!

- Don’t ring at 8 o’clock. I’ll be watching Who Wants to be a Millionaire.

Future Perfect

Je vertelt dat je op een bepaald moment in de toekomst iets gedaan zult hebben. Je bent er dus mee klaar.

By next Friday I will have finished the report.

Examples:

  -  I promise I’ll have done all the work by next Saturday.
-  I think astronauts will have landed on Mars by the year 2020.

Future perfect
