Rule of form  

The past perfect is used to indicate that something happened before something else in the past. 

+ HAD + past participle (ww+ed of 3e rijtje) 

- HADN´T + past participle (ww+ed of 3e rijtje) 

? Had ... + past participle (ww+ed of 3e rijtje)
