What do you
know about Egypt?

The Nile

• Around 4000 b.c. an society with agriculture and cities emerged
  
• When the Nile flooded the surrounding areas became fertile

• Fields further from the Nile had no water
• People brought water to the fiels through irrigated agriculture -> dug channels to water the fields

Cities

More food
-> Not everyone had to be a farmer-> people can choose their profession -> craftsmen gathered around the marketplace

people start living around the market

People who buy and sell things are called traders

people who make things are called craftsman

1. Mensen gaan bij een markt wonen om hun spullen te verkopen
2. Rondtrekkende mensen willen graag op 1 plek blijven
3. Als mensen geen zin meer hebben blijven ze gewoon op 1 plaats
4. De Farao zegt waar de steden moeten komen
