2. Intro to defining relative clauses:

The man is from Scotland.

• The man who is wearing the red shirt is from Scotland.
• = now we KNOW which man out of this group
• = defining relative clause = gives important information
  

Join the two sentences:
I know a girl. She speaks perfect Polish.

There is a nice cafe. We can go there.

KFC is a restaurant. It sells buckets of chicken.

Some small notes

The relative pronoun: usually after the noun (people, thing, place): Corderius is the school that I/we/Adam attend(s).

BUT: the relative pronoun CAN be omitted (=left out) if it's followed by a personal pronoun or noun:

Corderius is the school that I/we/Adam attend(s).
