Adjective +e in front of noun 

De rozen zijn mooi 

De mooie rozen

When the adjective is in front of the noun you add an -e behind the adjective. 

After a short vowel the consonants double:

de jurk is wit-

de witte jurk

het boek is dik-

het dikke boek

With a long vowel followed by a consonant you drop one consonant:

het huis is groot

het grote huis

De was is droog

de droge was

When a word ends with an -f it turns into -ve

De man is doof

De dove man

And -s turns into  -ze

De vrouw is boos

de boze vrouw
