Please do not feed the ostriches
sandwiches
or the polar bears
éclairs.
Do not offer the wombats
kumquats
or the rattle-snakes
fruit-cakes.
Remember that piranhas
are not allowed bananas
or partridges
sausages.
Never approach a stork
with things on a fork
or the bustard
with a plate of custard.
No leopard
likes anything peppered
and meerkats
dislike Kit Kats.
Remember that grapes
upset apes
and meringues
do the same for orang-utans.
Most importantly–
do not feed the cheetah
your teacher.

‘Please do not feed the animals…’

Life is sweet by Elena
The bees work all day long, for the honey in our tea.
They do not get what they deserve in return for that, I guarantee.
When baking cakes, or sipping tea I sometimes suddenly think:
Were any adorable bees hurt while making this tasty sweet drink?
I still eat the yoghurt, and slurp the champagne,
Because we have to stay on top of the food chain.

My poem about food by Ryan
I like to eat tasty food like pancakes
And the amazing pizzas that my mom bakes
With tomato sauce and lots of cheese
I always ask: “Can I have some more, please?”
I love food, it is very delicious
The only bad thing is when I have to do the dishes

rhyme food by Joy
everybody needs food
because that keeps us alive
it gives us a special mood
and brings us in a vibe

not all people have exit to it
there are others who are in control
and they don’t give a bit
but we have this special goal

and that goal is mine

can I have? by Sophie
Can I have something sweet?
or just something to eat?
something sour is also okay.
I haven't eaten all day.
please can I have something, just a little crumb
or something as big as my thumb.
Can I have a glass of water?
please please please I am your daughter
you have to give me something.
just give me one thing.

Poem by Donna
Food is important to live
You can eat for instance olive
We eat often healthy during school days
What we have left is for our rabbit to graze
It's also fun to bake cake
That we can eat during the break
My favorite food is chips
But if I eat it too often I can’t close my zips
This was my poem about food
But I am not going to eat a root

FOOD by Emilija
I love food
It gives me a good mood.
I love Candy to eat.
 Like chocolate so sweet.
Sushi, with seaweed on top.
I can eat it nonstop.

Chocolate by Thijmen S
Chocolate is so yummy.
Everybody loves it, only not the dummy’s .
You have: Milk, pure and white.
Try it and take a bite.
On my bread every day.
With my friend when I play.
I have it in my pocket.
Everything must be chocolate!

Slide 11 - Diapositive

By Riley
My brother’s favorite food is something I cannot stand.
He eats it every morning.
I think it should be banned.
There is nothing quite as boring.

Brown, burned, buttered or old.
I hate it in every way.
Crispy, dry, hot or with mold.
I think it tastes like decay.

I’d rather eat any other food.
Then have this on my plate.
It really kills my mood.
It’s a food I love to hate.

the banana says the to pear
what do you like to wear

the pear likes a jacket he can’t feel
the banana only wears his peel

the pear really likes apple rum
and i find this poem very dumb

If daddy’s making dinner
We will eat soup
He makes it a bit thinner
With a lot more tomatoes
And with less meat
But that is not so good.

If mommy’s making dinner
We also will eat soup
She makes it a bit thicker
With less tomatoes
And a lot more meat
It’s a lot better, but not my mood

If I am making dinner,
We will eat soup :)
I make it perfect
With enough tomatoes
And enough meat
That’s perfect, that’s good.
