We are going to talk about some staments from the episode we just watched.
 
You will discuss these statements in pairs. 

But first.. in your opinion, what was the most shocking aspect of the prison in Papua New Guinea?

In that prison, guards use voilence.
'If you’re ever cheeky, I’ll beat you up.’
Do you think using violence in prison is a necessity? Explain your answer.

‘No bunks, no mattresses, just a meter of concrete for each prisoner’
Do you think they should globally make rules for this? What rules should be made?

They are locked up for 15 to 16 hours a day.
What should be the maximum time in a cell per day?

What do you think of the the fact that there is a so called VIP cell for high profile people (businessmen, soldiers, policemen)?

Inmates at the Norgerhaven prison in Veenhuizen, Netherlands, have a bed, furniture, a refrigerator, and a TV in their cells, as well as a private bathroom. They also get a window with a view of the prison yard.

Let's have a look at a completely different prison in Norway.
