INVERSIONS
Inversion = putting the verb
before the subject.

Why inversions?
  1. In questions.
  2. When we use a negative adverb or adverb phrase at the beginning of the sentence. (never, nowhere, not since, not only... also, etc. )
  3. instead of ‘if’ in conditionals with ‘had’ ‘were’ and ‘should’. 
  4. When we want to emphasize the place  for example: On the table was all the money we had lost. (Normal sentence: All the money we had lost was on the table.)
