Er zijn 4 vormen om de toekomst aan te geven. 
Van minst naar meest zeker zijn dat:

- will
- to be going to
- present continuous
- present simple

Future Tense
  • will: I will help you with your homework. (ABBA) / It will rain later this week. (voorspelling)
  • going to: Look at those clouds. It is going to rain. (bewijs!) / I'm going to play soccer this afternoon. (van plan)
  • Present Continuous: I am visiting my grandmother this weekend. (afspraak)
  • Present Simple: My bus leaves at 11:30. (vast tijdschema)
