Negative Sentences

Negative sentence (ontkenning)

Soms zeg je dat iets niet zo is. Dan maak je een ontkenning. In het Nederlands gebruiken we daarvoor niet. Dat wordt in het Engels not.

Example: He is a doctor   -     He is not/isn't a doctor.

Make the sentence negative.
I am in class today.

Make the sentence negative.
You are at home.

Make the sentence negative.
She is here.

Make the sentence negative.
We can study tonight.

Ontkenningen met to have en andere werkwoorden

They have a dog - They do not/don't have a dog.

You walk in the park - You do not/don't walk in the park.

She writes a letter - She does not/ doesn't write a letter.

Make negative:
I like history.

Make the sentence negative:
I have a sister.

Make the sentence negative:
He knows the answers.
