Some hobby stories - #1
Today I went diving with 2 friends. Nothing special, as it was our 5th time wreck diving. But this time we decided to take it to another level.
Earlier that morning, one of my friends showed us a picture of a guy ironing his shirt on a unstable high rock, and another guy doing the same thing, but in an underwater cave. We thought it was kind of random, but it also seemed quite exciting.
So we bought a wireless iron, an ironing board and took some old pants. We put all the stuff in the car and drove to our diving spot.

After we were just a few metres away from the wreck, we gave a light signal and the guy on the boat threw the ironing board with the iron in the water. We were looking at the stuff sinking down towards us. Once we collected it, we attached the ironing board to the old captain’s cabin from the ship. We put a pair of pants on the board, and me and 1 of my friends were holding the iron while the other took a picture. It was a very funny and special experience. It actually didn’t feel that weird or extreme. It was just ironing on a sunken ship. I’m looking forward to trying it elsewhere. It seems fun to me that after awhile you have an entire collection of pictures where you’re ironing on weird and dangerous spots. It was definitely worth it!

Some hobby stories - #2
A day in the life of a toy voyager

You might have seen some photos on the internet of this unusual hobby. Toys or garden gnomes in front of a beautiful valley or landscape. I went and visited some beautiful places, to experience a day in the life of a toy voyager.
Now, you are probably wondering what the point of toy voyaging is. The goal is to keep passing on a ToyVoyager, usually a stuffed animal or another toy with an identification code on it, making the toy “experience” some nice locations and taking pictures of it.
Usually, the toy gets passed on to another person directly, but sometimes it also goes indirectly. Some people like to give the toy a so-called “Wild Release”, leaving the toy in the wild.
After finding a stuffed teddy bear called Teddo I got involved in the ToyVoyager world. It was all crunchy from the rain and mud, so i cleaned it. After Teddo was clean i felt happy, I suddenly felt like he was more alive. We went to Amsterdam and we took a picture in front of Madame Tussauds. It felt a little weird, being my age, bringing Teddo everywhere i went, yet still i enjoyed it quite much. In the evening i realised I knew my uncle was Involved on Toy-Voyaging, so i sent him Teddo. He really appreciated it, and I honestly think he might like to take him on more interesting trips. I had an interesting experience, however I am not sure if this is a hobby meant for me.
