would

would = zou / hypothetisch advies

I would eat more fruit. - Ik zou meer fruit eten. (als ik jou was). 

If I were you, I would eat more fruit. 

must / have to

must = moeten -- not for questions!

have to = moeten 

You must eat fruit at least once a day. 

You have to take your vitamins every day. 

may

may = zou mogen

May I ask you for some advice?

You may not have another candy bar. 

May I go to the toilet?
