Passive vs. active

In active:

In passive:

Nadruk op: wat is er gebeurd?

The passive form

De passive bestaat uit een vorm van To be + voltooid dw (past participle)

In the present simple passive gebruik je am / is / are +voltooid dw.  

In the past simple pasive gebruik je was / were +voltooid dw.

How do you make the Passive Voice?

Active

They opened the door.

We wear blue shoes.

You wrote the letter.

John drives the car.

Passive

The door was opened (by them).

Blue shoes are worn.

The letter was written.

The car was driven.

Passive

present simple	I do the homework. She eats the apples.	The homework is done (by me). The apples are eaten (by her).
	werkwoord present	am/is/are + voltooid deelwoord
past simple	I did the homework. She ate the apples.	The homework was done (by me). The apples were eaten (by her).
	werkwoord past	was/were + voltooid deelwoord

Zet in de passive voice:
The man sends the letters every day.

Zet in de passive voice:

The man walks the dog
