Adverbs of Frequency geven aan hoe vaak iets wel of niet gebeurt.

Always = altijd

Usually = meestal

normally = normaal gesproken

Often = vaak

Sometimes = soms

occasionally = zo nu en dan

seldom = zelden

Hardly ever = bijna nooit

never = nooit

Adverbs of Frequency kunnen op 2 plaatsen komen te staan in de zin:

1. Vóór het hoofdwerkwoord (I always go to school)

--> 2. Achter een vorm van to be  (I am never late)

(ook bij hulpwerkwoorden, zoals have, can, should, could, will, would, shall, ought to, may, might, must)

Vervoeg het werkwoord van 'to be' (zijn)

Wat moet je nu precies kennen en kunnen?

1. Je moet weten wat de adverbs of frequency zijn (dus kunnen vertalen en correct kunnen gebruiken)

2. Je moet weten op welke plek deze woorden in de zin komen te staan
