Exam skills training

For the rest of us we are going to do the unit Exam Skills Training.

Here we will look at many ways to improve your reading, listening, speaking & writing skills :)

Now, please open your Student's book at page 50

Let's read the

 "Reading Strategy" together first.

Now do ex. 1  (underline the keywords in the statements)

You have 2 minutes

Now read the text and then do ex.2 (are the statements true or false?)

You have 6 minutes.

Finished early? Write at least 2 questions about the text!

Now let's read the "Listening strategy" together

Do ex. 3 : read all the questions and answers and predict what the recording is about. Write down key-words!

Taboo

Two teams: Classroom vs Home.

One team describes one of the words of unit 4 (p.124/125) without saying the word itself. If the other team guesses the word, they score a point!

Now...instead of describing the word, just say 1 or 2 words that are related to this word!
