How to write a review?
  1. Know what you are going to say:  If I were telling a friend about this, what would I want their main takeaway to be?
  2. Likes and dislikes:  If review is truly critical it needs to include both the positive and the negative in it. 
  3. Recommendation:  The star rating may be seen first but when the reader skims the text, they want to know your recommendation along with a short explanation of why you do or don't recommend it.  
Tips: 
  • Judge based on what the activity / restaurant/ product is. Be reasonable in your expectations.








  • Assume the best. That the company / place is not out to get you personally.
  • Check your writing.

- You have 3 minutes to discuss.

Today's task
With your group write a review (50 - 100 words) about an activity or a restaurant that you have come across in the country  and city your group decided to visit.  As a group decide whether you will write a positive or negative review.
Include both pros and cons in your review.
Include a recommendation in your review.
Hand into Google Classroom before Friday.
