Learning goals

• You'll know the rules to the oral exam
• You'll know what you are going to talk about during the oral exam.
  
• You can write down what you want to talk about during the oral exam.
  
• You can talk about it with a classmate and time yourself.
  
• You can use a dictionary to look up words.
  

Rules to the oral exam.

Consists of 4 different parts:

1. Talk about yourself (hobbies, family, job, friends, sport etc.)
2. Talk about your plans for the future (your next education or if you don't have any plans, why  not?)
3. Choose your own subject (You'll get some examples, but can choose one yourself)
4. role plays

• You'll have to be able to talk for 5 minutes per subject;
• You don't know which questions you will get;
• Don't talk in Dutch, only in English. Use the commonly used phrases if you're stuck.

Write about yourself

• Write everything down that you want to talk about; 
• Try to write in English;
• You'll have 10 minutes

Task in pairs

Je gaat nu in tweetallen bezig met je eigen verhaal. Neem de tijd op. Vervolgens ga je elkaar helpen het verhaal te verbeteren / verlengen / oefenen met uitspraak etc. Denk na over welke vragen je van mij zou verwachten en kijk vooral goed naar dingen/woorden die je nog kunt opzoeken in je voorbereiding.

één van de tips uit de video is om een flashcard te maken. deel flashcards per persoon uit. dit kan natuurlijk ook gewoon een kladblaadje zijn. misschien dan wel handig om te laten zien wat een flashcard is. mogen ze een flashcard oid in hun handen hebben tijdens de mondeling?

via deze task bereiden ze zich direct voor. je kunt dit ook overslaan afhankelijk van de beschikbare tijd

om de leerling extra gerust te stellen, kun je de tip benadrukken om de leerling zulke zinnetjes te laten leren. dat geeft ze tijd om na te denken
