Past simple

John walked home after school.

Onregelmatige ww.
Go -> went
Am is are -> was/ were
Op blz. 165 van je tekstboek staan alle onregelmatige werkwoorden.

Vragen in de Past Simple
Begin de vraag met    DID
Did you go to school yesterday?

LET OP; niet bij WAS/WERE
Were you ill last week?
Did

Did John walk home after school?
Was/were

He was mean to her.
Was he mean to her?

They were nice.
Were they nice?

Ontkenningen in de Past simple
Gebruik   DIDN'T    in de zin
He   DIDN'T   go to school yesterday

Let op; niet bij WAS/WERE
She WASN'T ill last week.
Didn't

Tom didn't clean the house yesterday.

Wasn't / Weren't
Bij zinnen met was of were zet je not (n't) achter dat woord.

She was not feeling well this morning.

We weren't very close in highschool.
