These are called comparitive structures

The words in the previous slide that were in bold print (coldest, heaviest, most beautiful and most frightening) are called Superlative adjectives. These always express that something is "the most"!

We will watch a video now

In the first two minutes of this video: write down every superlative adjective (f.e. coldest, most beautiful) that you hear!

Write down all the examples of comparative and superlative adjectives that are mentioned. So, don't write any grammar rules...ONLY the examples!

For example: hot, hotter, hottest,deadly or simple, simpler, simplest

Now, please open your Student's book at page 44

Let's start with ex.1 . Look carefully at the picture for 30 seconds. Then discuss in pairs what you saw there. Use the words that are given. Discuss for 2 minutes. People at home: try to write at least 3 sentences to describe this picture
