Vandaag spreken we in de les over het kiezen van een boek:

Boek kiezen om zelfstandig thuis te lezen: Denk na, bezoek de bibliotheek, zoek online in de catalogus, of bezoek de mediatheek op school en kies een boek.

Een boek op goed niveau heeft op elke pagina een paar woorden die je niet kent (3-5 woorden ongeveer). Ken je op elke bladzijde alle woorden? Kies dan een moeilijker boek. Staan er meer dan 5 woorden per bladzijde die je moet opzoeken in het (online) woordenboek? Kies dan een makkelijker boek.

Spellingsregels:
  • Eindigt het werkwoord op een -e, dan valt de -e weg
(to have)     I am having lunch.
(to give)   He is giving us homework.

  • Werkwoord van 1 lettergreep met een korte klinker (a, e, i, o, u), verdubbel dan de medeklinker
(to put)     We are putting sugar in his tea.
(to run)   She is running a marathon.

- In pairs 
- Around the room you will find sheets of papers with sentences 
- One persons reads and remembers the sentences
- Run back to your partner and say the sentence. The other person writes it down (correctly!). Is it present simple or present continuous?
- Run back for the next sentence, until you have them all
- Place them in the most logical order (just write down the numbers)
- The pair that first has all sentences wins 5 points (points go to your Team)
