2. Read the question: what alineas do you need to use? Mark them
3. What kind of question is it? Multiple choice/gap fill/open/statement

Read the question first, not the answers. Is there any useful information in the question?  

In the example on the right you are told to take a look in paragraphs 1 and 2

A nd the word 'relate' is in the question. That means you must find the relation between both text parts.

2. Underline signalwords
3. Now read answers.
4. Remove evidently wrong answers
5. What are the most important words in the answers? What do you expect to see in the text?

 Underline searchwords you can work with, like names and places and anything that can be expressed with a number, like (meerderheid) or (tegenwoordig)

Translate those words in English!
Look for signalwords!
