When dealing with a student-driven approach teachers need to be prepared to deal  with students misconceptions and inability to make the links between the interesting  activities they are completing and the content they are supposed to learn.

Two ways to address this are:

1. Use more dirct means to help students make these connections.

2. to directly reinforce students' learning goals.. this can be done with the use of Anchor Charts.. (page 107 and 108). Norms
