Will and Going to = Future simple.

  

Will	Going To
Negative sentence: I won't be able to finish my work today Interrogative sentence: Will you come to my birthday party?	Negative sentence: We are not going to design T-shirt. Interrogative sentence: Is Kim going to read a book over the weekend?

Some extra examples...

• You and your friends have planned to go to the beach next week.  ->  "Will" or "Going to" ?
• You see someone carrying lots of bags, and decide to help him. -> "Will" or "Going to" ?
• It is raining outside and your parents need to go shopping. You "will" / "are going to" need an umbrella.

The future continuous

Form: 

will + be	root verb + ing
will be will be	staying watching

The future continuous

Function, we use it when: 

1. We are talking about a longer action in the future that overlaps a shorter action or time. 

I was taking a shower when Jeroen started the online lesson. 

2. We talk about something that will happen if everything goes to plan.

When he is staying in Australia he will be staying with friends. 

I will be seeing Jim at the meeting next week.
