+: Stam + (s)	We gebruiken de present simple bij feiten, gewoontes en regelmaat	I play football. Water boils at 100 degrees. She speaks Spanish
?: Do/does + onderwerp + stam		Do you play football? Does water boil at 100 degrees? Does she speak Spanish?
x: Don't/doesn't + stam		I don't play football. Water doesn't boil at 100 degrees. She doesn't speak Spanish.

Uitzonderingen 

Bij he/she/it

- Als het werkwoord eindigt op een s- geluid: +es

VB. Push - pushes, box - boxes, watch - watches

- Als het werkwoord eindigt op een -y: +s of +ies

- Do/Go

x: Didn't + onderwerp + stam		I didn't walk home at lunchtime. Tom didn't live in Fiji in 1998. They didn't go to the cinema last night.

Uitzondering

Let op! Als je did of didn't toevoegt dan laat je al zien dat je de verleden tijd gebruikt. Did is namelijk de verleden tijd van do.

Je zet maar 1  werkwoord in de zin in de verleden tijd.

Present Continuous

Formule	Gebruik	Voorbeeld
+= am/is/are + hele werkwoord + ing	- Iets gebeurd nu. - Iets irriteert je.	The teacher is writing on the board. She is always running late!
?= Am/is/are + onderwerp + hele werkwoord + ing?		Is the teacher writing on the board? Is she always running late?
x= Am/is/are + not + hele werkwoord + ing.		The teacher isn't writing on the board. She isn't always running late.
