Read the Questions First

Before the audio starts, read the questions and all the answer choices. This helps you know what to listen for.

2/7 Pay Attention to Keywords

Focus on the important words in the question, like names, numbers, dates, or specific ideas. These will guide you when listening.

3/7 Listen for Paraphrasing

The audio might not use the exact words from the question. It may use similar words or phrases. For example, instead of "buy," the audio might say "purchase."

4/7 Don’t Choose Too Quickly

Some answers may seem correct at first, but the speaker might give more details or change their mind later. Listen until the end before deciding.

5/7 Use the Process of Elimination

Cross out the answers you know are wrong. This makes it easier to focus on the correct one.

6/7 Stay Calm if You Miss Something

If you don’t catch an answer, don’t panic. Focus on the next question and keep listening.

7/7 Check Your Answers

If there’s time at the end, go back and make sure your answers match what you heard.
