What is meant with 'marriage-hearse'?

Slide 4 - Tekstslide

What is meant with 'marriage-hearse'?
That even marriage is doomed to end in death and despair.
Marriage has a joyful, celebratory connotation, whereas "hearse" is a carriage transporting a coffin. Placing these words together using an oxymoron, shows us the connection the poet is trying to make between the two.
