We all need help remembering words from time to time...

Let's practice it with a strategy! Go to ex. 4 (p. 101). 

- Use synonyms to describe the new words.

All words are from the Word List, you are allowed to look them up.

Let's discuss:

Translate on a piece of paper (or in your head) the Dutch sentence:

"De zon  komt op/zal morgen om 06.00 uur opkomen."

Check de tabel op p. 103.

There are a lot of ways of saying things in the future...

...But one is usually the best.

Go to p. 103 in your book, read the blue table and do ex. 8 + 9.

Voorbeelden

Present simple:

The train leaves at 10pm (rooster)

The store opens at 9am (openingstijden)

We have a maths test next week (is gepland)

Will/shall

I will be there (belofte)

He will take your coat now (aanbieding)

Shall we go out tonight?

Chelsea will win the match tonight (voorspelling zonder bewijs)

Voorbeelden

Present continuous:

I am meeting my friends this afternoon (afspraken die al zijn gemaakt)

My uncle is having a birthday party tomorrow (plannen in de toekomst die al vastliggen)

To be going to

I am going to France next summer (plannen in de toekomst)

Look at those clouds, it's going to rain! (bewijs)

Now let's try and put the knowledge to the test!

2. Wat in het eerder al is gebeurd
3. Wat nu aan de gang is
4. Wat in het verleden begon en nu stopt
