Future:

Je gebruikt de Present Continuous om te praten over afspraken in de nabije toekomst waarvan de plaats/tijd al vast staat:

"I am driving to my grandmother's house on Monday."
"My parents are buying a new car tomorrow."

am/is/are + hele werkwoord + ing

Future (2)

Je gebruikt "am/is/are going to" in plaats van de Present Continuous...
- wanneer het gaat om een plan, wat nog NIET vast staat
- voor dingen waar je geen controle over hebt zoals het weer

"I think I am going to call him on Saturday."
"It is going to rain tomorrow."

Word Order

Zijn een paar dingen om op te letten: 
- "plaats komt voor tijd" (p komt voor t in het alfabet)

"They always go to the cinema on Mondays."
"She is going to the restaurant tomorrow."

Word Order (2)

- Bijwoorden van frequentie (always, never, sometimes, often) staan voor het werkwoord, tenzij er een vorm is van "to be" dan staan ze erachter (am/is/are/was/were).

"I often go shopping."
"My mum always leaves for work around 7:30."
"I am usually late on Mondays."
