What can you expect? 

• Speaking English in class
• We're going to start with speaking/listening exercises at the beginning of every lesson.
• Sometimes I am going to be outside of the classroom TT. 
• Time for workbook exercises or individual prep work. 
  
• Done with an exercise? Continue (re)-reading one of your exam books

Who is the Liar? 

- Everyone picks a paper (one by one) 

- The piece of paper has a random picture, is blank or has the word lies on it. 

- You have to describe the picture and answer questions about the picture. 

- Is your picture blank or does it say Lies? make up your own story and try to convince everyone that you're not the liar.

Slide 1: Book info Title of book, Author, and a picture of the cover of your book

Slide 2: Characters - who are the characters in your book? What are they like?

Slide 3: Genre - what is the genre of your book? How do you know?

Slide 4: The Beginning - what happened at the beginning of your book? Is there a problem?

Slide 5: The Middle - what happened at the middle of you book? How are they working to solve the problem?

Slide 6: The End - what happened at the end of your book? How did they sovle the problem?

Slide 7: Recommendation - would you recommend this book other students? Why or why not?

1. Sit in groups of 4

2. 20 minutes to finish your presentation of 5 minutes

3. 1 person presents in front of the group and the other 3 give feedback. 

4. After 5 minutes we switch roles.

''Speed Dating'' exericise

1. The teacher divides students into two rows facing each other.

2. One row is assigned as the movers. The teacher tells students the amount of time each partner will have to speak (4 minutes). The student who isn't presenting asks questions. 

3. When time is up, the teacher says “switch” and the mover row stands and moves one person to the right.
