Countable & uncountable nouns

• Countable nouns = objects that can be counted

           ex: 1 bicycle, 2 bicycles; 1 egg, 2 eggs; man, men

• Uncoutable nouns = objects that you can not count 

           ex: rain, sand, food, music

Singular (= enkelvoud) --> a/ an (for specific object/ person)

• A = the word after the article starts with the sound of consonant (b,c,d,f,g,h..)
• An = the word after the article starts with the sound of a vowel (a, e, i, o, u).

plural (=meervoud) -->  some/ any 

• Some: positive sentences
• Any: negative/ question sentences

Many/ much

Many/ much = negative sentences.

• Many = plural countable nouns
• Much = uncountable nouns
