What do we call this in Dutch?

Directe rede en indirecte rede!

Bij directe rede gebruik je letterlijk de woorden wat diegene heeft gezegd.

Bij de indirecte rede beschrijf je wat diegene heeft gezegd.

Direct speech: Thies: "I am playing football."

Indirect speech: Thies said that he was playing football.

Hoe maak je de indirect speech?

present simple ----> past simple

I have a nice book.                 ----->                         She said that she had a nice book. 

----------------------------------------------------

present continuous ----> past continuous

I am playing football. -----> He said that he was playing football.

Present perfect ------>  past perfect

I have lived here since 2010.  -----> She said that she had lived here since 2010.

past simple -----> past perfect

Luuk smiled at him.  ------> She said that Luuk had smiled at her.
