Genetive (bezit)

1. Je zet een ’s achter zelfstandige naamwoorden

That person’s money is in the bank.
- The children’s toys are all outside in the garden.
- Jess's bike was stolen.

2 Je zet een apostrophe (’) achter zelfstandige naamwoorden met een regelmatige meervoudsvorm (regular plural nouns):
- The teachers’ papers are on the desk.
- My parents’ dinner is in the oven.

Genetive

3 Je gebruikt of als je het hebt over dingen:
- the king of Rock & Roll

- the best goals of the World Cup

4 Je kunt de genitive ook gebruiken als je het hebt over plaatsen en gebouwen. Je kunt dan woorden als shop en firm weglaten:
- They sell delicious pastries at the baker’s in town.

Let op: de functie van een voegwoord is om 2 zinnen met elkaar te verbinden. 

Although vs

Even though

although and even though can be used interchangeably in most cases, but although is considered more formal and is more commonly used at the beginning of a sentence, whereas even though can be used at the beginning or in the middle of a sentence and is less formal than although.

Conjunctions

Het gaat om woorden als: because, as, if, therefore, etc.
