  • De past simple tense wordt gebruikt om te spreken over een voltooide handeling op een moment in het verleden. 

  • De duur is niet belangrijk. 

  • Het moment van de handeling kan in een recent of een ver verleden liggen.

Past Simple = signal words
  • Je gebruikt altijd de simple past als je zegt wanneer iets plaatsvindt. Het wordt dus geassocieerd met bepaalde uitdrukkingen van verleden tijd.

  • frequentie: often, sometimes, always
