4 ways to write the Future tense:

1) present simple -> The bus to Zwolle leaves at 6 p.m.

2) present continuous -> I'm leaving for Paris tomorrow.

3) to be going to -> She's going to move to Paris next summer.

4) will/shall -> I will live in Paris one day.

Hoe zeker is het dat dit gaat gebeuren?
I'm leaving for Australia tomorrow. My plane departs at 3 p.m.

Dit staat gepland in de toekomst en gaat zeker gebeuren/afspraak is gemaakt; 

*de tickets zijn geboekt in deze situatie en de vlucht vertrekt morgen op een bepaald tijdstip.  (niet van een vertraging uitgaande)Hier wordt om de toekomst aan te duiden: 

am/are/is + ww + ing 

gebruikt. Deze tijdsvorm heb je in jaar 1 en 2 ook geleerd (de present continuous); 

We are meeting each other in front of the café at 6 p.m. 

Hoe zeker is het dat dit gaat gebeuren?
She thinks she will live in London one day.

Verschil met 'am/are/is + going to + het hele werkwoord'; Je hebt het plan om dit te gaan doen, maar er is nog geen concrete plaats of datum afgesproken. 

We are going to visit our friend this weekend (when and where, we haven't decided on); 

They are going to travel to Spain next year. ( we haven't booked the tickets yet) 

In deze situatie is het vrij onzeker..

Het signaalwoord 'thinks' geeft aan dat je niet zeker weet, maar wel denkt dat het zal gebeuren ergens in de toekomst..

Je krijgt dan: will + het hele werkwoord; 

I hope she will be all right.

They think they will do well on their final exams. 

if she passes her exams, she will go on a holiday. 

Hoe zeker is het dat dit gaat gebeuren?
They are going to travel to New York this summer. They still need to book the tickets.

Year 3 has English on the 6th period.

Present simple	fixed time (volgens rooster )	The bus leaves in 6 minutes. Hockey practise starts at 5 p.m.
Present continuous am/are/is + ww+ing	dingen gaan zeker gebeuren; Afspraken die helemaal vaststaan	I 'm leaving for Paris tomorrow morning at 4 p.m.. We're meeting up in front of the cinema at 5.p.m.
am/are/is + going to + hele ww	1.plan gemaak t, afspraak nog niet; 2. bewijs nu dat iets in de toekomst gaat gebeuren.	We 're going to watch the latest James Bond film in the Spring Break. (bewijs) (gevolg) Dark clouds are gathering, it is going to rain.
will/shall ('ll)	Wanneer je niet zeker of het in de toekomst zal gebeuren/ je doet een voorstel	She hopes she'll pass her exams. Shall I bring you a drink? I hope you'll win this match. I think she'll do well at the test.

'Shall' gebruik je bij 'I' en 'we' in vraagzinnen; 

*bij voorstellen

-Shall I help you with your homework after school?

-Shall we go to the bowling alley or the cinema tonight? 

*"We shall help you to fulfill this task" ("shall" wordt in bevestigende zinnen gebruikt bij zeer officiele aankondigingen)

Complete the following sentences
