When do you use the Present Continuous?

When you are talking about things that are happening right now:

- I am learning English

- You are listening to a story

- He is watching a TV show

How do we make the Present Continuous

Always use a form of 'to be' and the verb + ing. 

First, choose between am/are/is

Second, add the verb + ing

For example: I am cooking right now

                            I am reading a really good book at the moment

Present Continuous in questions

When we make questions, we simply put am/are/is at the beginning of the sentence: 

Examples: Am I cooking a stew?

                       Is the sun rising?

Negative sentences

When we make negative sentences in the Present Continuous, we simply put 'not' between am/are/is and the verb.

Examples: I am not walking to school now

                     He is not enjoying the music

Form

More examples: 

He/she/it is talking loud    You are listening well

We are gaming now             They are playing FIFA

You are all reading                I am walking the dog

Present Continuous

Look for signalwords that show you that something is happening at this moment, such as:

- Right now

- As we speak

- Currently

- At the moment
