Reflexive pronouns
Reflexive pronoun = Wederkerende voornaamwoorden

ST pg. 232: A reflexive pronoun is used in place of an object pronoun in the sentence when the subject and the object are the same person or thing.

Subject = Object -> Use a Reflexive pronoun

You always look at yourself in the mirror.
Jij kijkt altijd naar jezelf in de spiegel.

Slide 3 - Tekstslide

Reflexive pronouns
We don't usually use a reflexive pronoun after verbs such as 'to wash', 'to dress', and 'to shave'

We only use a pronoun for these verbs when we really want to emphasize the person who is doing it.

-> He shaved this morning.
-> He shaved himself despite his broken arm

Reciprocal Pronouns

Each other - One another

ST pg. 232: Reciprocal pronouns are used when two or more persons or things are doing the same thing for or towards the other.

I like him and he likes me. -> We like each other
They  looked at one another

Reciprocal pronouns can also be used in a possessive form (bezittelijke vorm)
