• Eindigt een woord op -y? Let op: + ier 
• Happy                         happier                   
• Scary                           scarier                    

• Eindigt een woord op korte klinker + medeklinker? Let op:
• Big                               bigger                        
• Hot                              hotter      

                 

Comparisons (uitzonderingen)

Woorden eindigend op -le, -er, -ow, -y krijgen ondanks dat ze meer dan 1 lettergreep hebben +er 

• EZELSBRUGGETJE: LEEROWY
• -le = simple                           simpler                         
• -er = clever                            cleverer                        
• -ow = narrow                        narrower                
• -y = happy                             happier

Dit zijn belangrijke onregelmatige vormen. Deze moet je leren!
