How do you make the past continuous?

1. verb+ed
2. am/is/are verb+ing
3. was/were verb+ing
4. was/were verb+ed

When do you use the past continuous?

1. Something that happened in the past.
2. Someone/Something was doing something for some time in the past.
3. Something that happened in the past and still has an effect on the present.
4. Something happened while you were doing something else.

Fill in the past continuous:

Fill in the past continuous :

Me and my friends _____________ (have) lunch.

• Write a story in English about a character who:
